A Message from the President
Happy Spring to all my fellow Chefs, Student Culinarians, and Food Enthusiasts! Our March meeting at Butchers and Bakers in Farmington was fantastic! Our thanks to Chef Luis Vazquez and his amazing team who made us feel very welcome and prepared a wonderful sampling of appetizers.
Thank you also to Patrick and Philip Moore of Hilltop Apiaries for their time and incredible generosity. Patrick and Philip gave a wonderful talk on the benefits and challenges of raising bees and the importance they play in agriculture and then treated us to a tasting and a complementary jar of their new Whipped Honey.
It was an amazing evening of good food, the exchanging of knowledge and ideas, fun, laughter, and of course quality time spent with fellow colleagues and friends, those we have known for years as well as many we met for the first time.
Just a reminder, we are all professionals and know the importance of having accurate counts for events. When an RSVP is requested and a specific deadline is given, please take the time to respond and by the deadline date. It was very unfortunate that of the 42 attending the March meeting, only 23 people sent an RSVP and of the 23, only 20 responded by the deadline.
Due to many factors including site cancellations there will not be an April meeting. Our next meeting will be in May. All the details will be coming your way soon.
Until then, start each day with a laugh and surround yourself with good food and good friends!
Hope to see you soon!
Pay it forward – give back
